ADD of a sort...

I'm pretty sure that I have some sort of ADD. Yes, I realize there is only 1 ADD, but let me explain....

Today I had needed to stay home with Bug because she has a very mild case of pink eye. Which means that she isn't allowed back to daycare with an oosey eye unless she has been on medication for 24 hours. So while I was home with her I figured I would start to tackle the storage craft room. While I'm working I suddenly decide that I make a cover for the ex-nightstand-now-end-table-waiting-to-be-sanded-and-painted. Please keep in mind that there is crap all over the hallway from when I removed it from the craft room, so I could visualize better. I "finished" my cover (I still want to add a brown ruffle along the top), and then started working at sorting the craft goodies. Then I became bored with that and left it as it was is and here I am, searching the internet for more crafty ideas and learning about once a month cooking, which would be awesome! Instead of doing this I should probably be catching up with the laundry (AGAIN!) and thinking about what I can make for dinner from last night's leftovers. I deserve a little "me" time though, don't I? I mean afterall it was hard work making that cover! Ok, it was actually easy peasy, but still...


I'm thinking I'll take a picture of it and post it on here so you can see the transformation that has taken place! I must say it is quite an attractive little table now.

That Time Again...

Easter break has come and gone. I had this past week off with the Calla-bug and loved EVERY MINUTE of it! Now I am faced with Sunday fleeting and Monday arriving too soon. I find myself in another grouchy mood and snapping at Nick. (Which I HATE doing!!!)

Nick and I have talked recently and we think it might be possible for me to stay home with Calla after next school year, but then I did some figuring of my own and some thinking and.... I think it would be possible for me to stay home after this year! How cool would that be?

The catch is... I need to sell my car, convince my old cooperating teacher from Walton to let me watch her children, and get an online teaching job! I know it sounds like a lot, but I am hopeful, positive, and praying about it!!


We will just have to wait and see what happens.

Where is the time?

I realize that I have wrote about this topic before, but now more than ever I am having a hard time to write on the blogs. I REALLY REALLY want to do it, and am like "oh that would make a great post!", but don't have the time to do it. Where does my time go? I seriously have no idea! I think that I am going to have to start making a schedule so that I can get more of the things done that I need to get done but aren't.



I seriously had to make two lists for the blogs: Calla & Ours. Then on each post it with its heading I have posts that I need to write still! On Ours there are 4 posts (including this one) and on Calla's there are 5. Plus I have post pictures, edit videos, etc.

I have been just talking about not having time for the blog, but I am having difficulty finding time to grade my students' papers and such. I try to get as much done in school as I can, but with meetings almost everyday it really cuts into my prep/grading time. Another thing that I have to work on scheduling in.

It is just so hard to do say ok this time is for blogging, this for papers, etc because when I come home all I want to do is spend time with Calla and Nick. I guess this is just one of those challenges of being a family in the workforce.
